Hotel Wiesler in Graz, Austria
“Our hotel isn’t just for sleeping, you will find it is filled with inspiration too. This is perhaps thanks to the vision of Carl Wiesler who, in 1870 had the idea of buying five guesthouses and converting them into the hotel you see today.
Between 1945 and 1954 the Wiesler fell on hard times, being used as accommodation for British Army officers, until it was renovated in its original style in 1986. Today, we’re living in the year 2012. We think that our past has made the Wiesler what it is today – a hotel where every brick has a story to tell, but where you can, of course, also get a good night’s sleep.”
