Jetpac is a team that loves to discover fun new places, and wants to share that with the world. By analyzing shared photos, we find the real picture of places, which we offer to users in award-winning mobile apps, using a rare blend of Big Data, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Beautiful Design and the latest Mobile Technology. From our Travel Trivia nights to our HackAway trips (most recently in Las Vegas), we love what we do, and do what we love.
Growing up in the fens of Cambridge, Pete naturally wanted to see the rest of the world. He started off by camping out in an Alaskan tree house for three months and fell in love with the American wilderness. Apple bought his first company, he was an engineer there for 5 years, and is a leading Big Data Geo technologist, O'Reilly author and serial entrepreneur.
Julian is from lots of places. Every product he has created in 15 years in San Francisco is still being used. He cofounded Houzz - the #1 home design iPad app, and IronPlanet - the #1 construction equipment marketplace. He was at eBay for 6 years, starting ProStores (now XCommerce), and StubHub, the #1 tickets marketplace. While swimming the English Channel, he realized a Jetpac would come in handy.
Cathrine is a Norwegian Viking princess with a love of adventure. No new opportunity can resist her marauding spirit, including her American husband whom she met in Japan. She is a Product, Marketing and Design unicorn, and once said hi to the Queen of Tonga.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, Dave sought out other cold places such as St. John's, Newfoundland, and Ottawa, before making his way down to San Francisco to join the Jetpac team. Having studied Interactive Multimedia and Design, he's a full stack engineer with a gift for making beautiful experiences fast. When not coding next to an open window in short sleeves, he's up for a game of soccer or hockey.
